5 of My Favorite Digital Creators You Should Follow

Last Updated on April 9, 2022 by Stephanie

Even though I limit it for my own well-being and productivity, I love social media! I love learning about new things and seeing the creativity of others. Following digital creators is so much fun. My own personal planning journey has been an up and down one. While I have just started this blog, I am not new to creating and using digital planners and graphics.  In my educational career, I received my Master of Educational Technology degree in 2014. I have always been a lover of technology and all things amazing.

That being said, I am not an expert in all things. I know and try a lot of different techniques and apps and all things tech, but so do many others. Here are some of my favorite creators and entrepreneurs to follow if you love digital planning as much as I do.  If you are still someone on the fence about digital planning, check out my post about digital vs. traditional here. If you’re a teacher, check out my post about the same that was tailored for teachers.

Without further ado, here are my favorite digital creators to follow.

KDigitalStudio

When I first started digital planning, Kirstin or KDigitalStudio was still in college and creating content about digital planning and creating when no one else seemed to be. She is AWESOME! She has great tutorials, great products, and awesome content on her site and her Instagram. Her Cyberry planner is a favorite in many different Facebook groups.

What drew me to her, however, was her YouTube channel where she does things like “plan with me” and tutorials. Her tutorials are on point and I love how real she is about everything. She is so down to earth and she always gives it to you straight. She will often give multiple ways to do things, which is so helpful. Kay is also an Apple fan, which makes my heart happy.

IllyMakes

So, I fully admit that the first time I ever went to Illy’s website was to write this post. That’s because I always see her stuff on Instagram. That is how I encountered her for the first time and fell in love with her content. Her site does not have a lot of information but does have a few freebies and some links to other great digital planning shops.

The gold mine is her Instagram page! Seriously, she has a lot of reels and posts filled with beautiful spreads and great tips. There are great tips about GoodNotes, fun unboxing videos, and how-to videos.

The Dash Planner

Megan is awesome and is right up my alley. I love decorating my planner, but it has to be functional. When I’m digitally planning or paper planning, it needs to make sense to me and I need to be able to write! Her site has tutorials for digital planning that are very helpful. Things like adding templates, changing covers, and putting stickers in GoodNote elements are some of the great tutorials on there.

And now, my favorites, the freebies, and her shop! I love her style and if you are like me, her stickers feature great functionality and beautiful colors. The colorways she chooses are awesome and muted and rich all at the same time, so they are a great addition to any digital planner!

Digital Creators; 5 creators to follow if you love digital planning.

The Jones Way

Emma has great content on her Instagram, which is where I found her the first time. I love scrolling through her posts with her beautiful spreads and fun releases. She’s across the pond from me in the U.K. but that’s okay because the cool thing about digital planning is that it can cross borders and oceans. Her Etsy shop works in American dollars as well and is filled with awesome stuff.

She values mental health and a positive mindset. Even in her bio, she mentions neurodiversity, and you can see the care she has for this passion in her designs. Her Etsy shop also features some printable stickers as well. While I’ve never purchased those from her, they look amazing and I’m sure will not disappoint.  You should positively check her out if you are into digital planning.

StarCityDesigns

So many things! Being a teacher, I create content all the time for my students. I’ve been a member of designbundles for years, which is where I first encountered Star City Designs. It was funny when I got more into digital planning and stickers and whatnot because I found this person on Etsy and knew I had seen some of the designs before. Well, I had! They are also a creator for designbundles, which I love!

Now, I know them as an awesome digital planning creator. The variety of her designs and themes is CRAZY. There is something for everyone in this planner shop. Both physical planning and digital planning items are available, so go check them out!
